The day before we were due to leave the south coast for Derbyshire we were contacted by The Firs to say the site was partially water logged and they couldn't accommodate us.  We were going to a wedding at nearby Shottle Hall, so we're quite worried by this
information.  We were able to book a site at Carsington Water at short notice and thanks go to the wardens there,  however it was much further away and resulted in higher taxi fares to the wedding £32 in total!  In hindsight we were pretty miffed by this treatment
as we booked the pitch in February,  so feel we should have been allocated one of the pitches available at The Firs.  Has anyone else had a similar experience?
