towing mirrors for aVolkswagen Tiguan

I have just changed to a Tiguan and my Melenco Aero mirrors will not fit into the recess between the glass and plastic i managed to fit the drivers side one just so i could take the caravan home from storage half way home the mirror fell off, has anyone else encounted this problem if so which mirrors fit safely,
