Motorhomes on the best pitches

On arriving on site the other day I was told I could only go on pitches with a white marker as I had booked a pitch with awning and the pitches with blue markers were for vans without awnings.

As I drove around the site it was clear it didn't apply to Motorhomes as all the best pitches with white markers had motorhomes on them without awnings,

I am starting to think that the rules for caravans dont apply to Motorhomes as they seem to have all the best pitches even though they maybe off site all day and just return at night .
