Truma Water Heater

I have had my caravan 9 years & never had this problem.

When I arrive on site, fill up my water heater it fills no problem. However, when we go to use the hot water tap later we find air spluttering out until the tank fills again and hot water comes out. When left overnight the hot water tank almost empties and
the process of spluttering and filling ocurrs again.

A am absulutely certain there are no leaks inside or outside. What is happening is that the hot water tank is dripping back into the water butt outside the van. I can see this drip, drip, when i remove the water pump unit. My question is why has this problem
never ocurred before?

Is there a non return valve sticking open between the hot water tank and the water pump housing unit?

Can this be repaired or renewed?

Someone else must have had this problem.

Any advice much appreciated.

    Hi KayB, I have the same problem with my Truma water heater.

    Did you have any replies with answers, or is it still a mystery?
