West/South West Scotland - best sites for walking?

Looking for advice on where to book for a week's holiday in September.  Considering Garlieston, New England Bay, North Ledaig and Bunree sites.  OH doesn't want to move sites during the week, so which one of these offers the best walking countryside?  As
for other activities during the week, we're not much into doing shopping or looking around town centres, although castles, gardens and stately homes are good for a rainy day.  Any suggestions gratefully received.
