Dogs in cars or motorhomes

I don't know if I've got the right discussion group for this but we have recently heard that it's going to be law that your dog has to be restrained in a car (ie. either by the seatbelt clip or in a cage). In Spain, it's apparently already law that a dog
has to travel in a cage. Does anybody know if any of these laws apply to motorhomes?
