Dog and Boat

Hi Everyone,
Can anyone recommend a site for us please. We bought a small row boat, also we have an outboard motor with it, and we have a dog. So we would like to find a site with access to water and one that has at least either a dog walk on site or good walks. We
are novices where the boat is concerned and would ideally like either a lake or smallish river so that we can become adept at rowing in the first instance so we can build up some confidence.
