13 pin tow bar electrics not working LED lights on

Hello there!

We are about to purchase a Land Rover Discovery and have just seen in the accessory book that the 13 pin electrics won't work with caravan rear LED lights!!!! As the winner of the Towcar 2 years running this seems a little strange. What can we do?
