Awning Poles......Alloy vs Carbon Fibre

We have recently bought a new caravan and are now looking for a new awning. We have been searching and as well as the steel awning poles, we have the option of the alloy poles (which we had on our old awning) and the carbon fibre poles. This option appeals
to us as it will reduce the weight even more.

We used to have a lightweight porch awning with these carbon fibre poles but i am a little unsure as to how strong the would be with regard to a full awning.

Does anyone have a full awning with carbon fibre poles and if so what do you think?
