MTPLM upgrade - would you?

So I have ordered a new 2015 Sprite Major 6TD 1480kg. The technical handbook says this can be uprated to 1500kg, and this is apparently free if done at time of build (rather than once it leaves the factory).
I tow with a VW Passat 2.0TDI (1800kg tow limit).
Would you get the 'free' MTPLM upgrade, or can you see any downsides?
