We are currently enjoying a 7 night stay at this wonderful site beside the Tees Barrage. It is a little oasis in the middle of an industrial and retail area but with plenty walks and things to to and see within easy reach.

It is a site which is open all year and is currently full as i am typing this. The thing which i am puzzled at is there are only 14 hardstanding pitches out of around 114 on the site. Given that the site is open all year, i am puzzled as to why there so
few hardstandings?

There has been quite a lot of rain in this area recently and there is a fair bit of damage on some of the pitching areas and it isn't exactly pleasant stepping through mud to get to your van.....especially after showering!

Is there a reason why the majority of pitches on this site are grass and not hardstanding? In the four years i have been a member of the club, this is the only time i have come anywhere near to making a criticism!
