Porch awning or full awning?

My wife and I would appreciate advice from those more experienced. We are taking delivery in September of a Bailey Pegasus GT 65 Genoa. We have two golden retriever puppies and need to have an awning or porch awning for them to sleep in . Not sure which is the best to go for, weight wise, ease of erection etc.
