Metered electric - it works

Thought I would pass on my experiance of a metered electric site.

Upon arrival I was given a smart card which I put credit on.

At the pitch it was simply a case of sliding the card into the meter and out again. The credit was then transfered to the meter and shown as kwh.

On leaving before inserting the card press the button insert card and the kwh are then transfered to the card as money.

Call at reception and get a refund. All very easy and simple, the kwh charge was slightly less than at home and there was no standing charge.

Now if this was adopted on CC sites you could simple eliminate the refund process and card presentation by having a smart membership card.
