I have not been there since the site was upgraded so have not seen the equipment. I suppose it depends a lot on what is there and common sense should say if the equipment is suitable for older children. I can understand the point though as sometimes the older ones can get too boisterous for some younger children so an upper age limit should be stated.

We have used the site before though and some children were running a bit wild so may be the wardens were a bit cautious. I think it is all too easy to criticise them when we really need a bit more information to be fair to both parties. It may be the OP's family are suffering for the sins of others.

Speculation by posters never gets to the root of the situation. Head Office are the only people who can clarify the position.

Wonder how long it will be before they do so !.

Sounds like a complaint against a specific warden on a specific site to me , which has been deemed unfair on previous threads

While the thread is still open I'll raise the point about not all children or adults having a mental age that matches the length of time sine they were born. Having an aged based rule would debar those of greater age who have a mental development of less
than the stated age obtaining great pleasure from such simple activities.

I recall a playpark in a local country park that I used to visit with my children over two decades ago where the extensive equipment was of a sensibly robust construction and the only warning sign refered to it being unsuitable for those over 15 stone in
weight. Fathers and mothers were able to climb and slide alongside their children giving them greater confidence.  Apparently it came to an end after a father exceeding the 15 stone got stuch in a tunnel bit some 8' above ground and had to be cut free by the
fire service.  The area is now yet more car park.

    Hi everyone,

Sorry for the delayed reply – I’ve spoken to the Regional Manager for White Water Park, and he has informed me that the equipment at White Water Park is only rated for use by children up to 10 years of age, although given that all children are not the same
size/weight at 10 years old, it comes down to Warden’s discretion and they will make a judgement based on the size of the child and the way they are using the equipment.

If you’re unsure, you can ask the Wardens on site and they will be able to help you.
