A question for any technophobes out there.

Have been pitched in an isolated location, well away from any properties for the last week but noticed when I power up a netbook that there is always a  internet servive called "Swift" available. Is this the CRIS chip hidden somewhere in the van and if so
does this mean it is permanantly transmitting a signal? It is not possible to log onto this service so I am at a loss as to what else it can be.

I have a 2011 Conqueror that, as far as I am aware, does not have a tracking device (bought secondhand), so cannot put it down to anything else. The towing tug is fitted with a RAC Trackstar tracker and that is not picked up.
