Dometic nuisance fridge struggling

OK, so it's been 36 deg. in the van but is now cooler, especially at night, but the fridge will not get below 13 deg. C. Last year I fitted two cooling fans and the performance has generally been quite good even in hot weather so something has gone wrong.
Same result on mains and gas.

I wonder whether the door seal is faulty but the van is only four years old. Is it possible for the absorption unit to fail on both gas and electric? 

We are in Italy for another two weeks and it is a real nuisance having cool beer - not cold! Can't print OH's thoughts after all the other problems we've had. Any ideas?
