Remote Control Battery

One of the remote control fobs which set the alarm for my Bailey Unicorn seems to be giving out a weak signal. Does anybody know if it is easy to change the battery. Does the case split apart (sharp knife?) and will it have to be cloned after switching the
battery and temporarily losing power? What type of battery do they generally take?
