Thetford hob/oven igniter

The igniter on our four year old Thetford oven/hob seemed to work intermittently then packed up all together. I can't for the life of me see how to get at the mechanism. I assumed that I could remove the gas knobs and take away the top panel section of the
oven but it doesn't seem to want to come out and I don't want to bend it!
Could be just a faulty rocker switch but I can't get at it. Any ideas?
