Hi,

Anyone got any comments on the power consumption (amps) of the Dometic 133 tower refrigerator in the Bailey. Just wondering what it leaves when on low output continental sites of perhaps 5 amps.

Wayne.  Is this info not in the handbook?  I have stayed on many 5 (and 4) amp sites and with the fridge on electricity with no problems when using kettle ( a low wattage one) and water heater, although I do turn the water heater off when using kettle if in doubt.  If you use electric heating, mico wave, TV etc at the same time you could be in trouble!

The techis will soon be on line to give you all the figures!

We have stayed on Italian sites with 3/4 amps and the fridge is not a problem, however, keep electric water heating on 1 kW and switch off if using an electric kettle (low wattage 1 kW or less). Ditto microwave. I believe fridge would be no more than 200
watts but don't have the figures to hand.

Even Dometic's biggest (150litre) absorption fridge is only rated at 170w input power, so around 0.75 Amps.
