Out of place Christmas Dinner!?!!???

We've just been out walking with my son's dog.  Walking up to the woods across the fields he shot off and wouldn't come back.  We found him standing next to the roadside wall, next to a full turkey, roast potatoes, carrots, peas and other veg, just tipped
in a heap.  The turkey looked almost untouched apart from what looked like a few bird peck marks, and was sitting on the top of the vegetables! 

Question:  did someone have a row, drive off with the dinner and dump it over a wall or what other drama might have been behind it!?  It certainly got us thinking!
