NEC Show Offers - caution

We wanted to buy a Turtle Mat at the NEC on Wednesday at a 'show special' price of £50. Decided to buy it on the way out by which time the last one in the colour we wanted had gone. OH was disappointed until checking next day on Amazon and finding that the
same item was available through Amazon, free postage, £42, a non-show saving of £8.

The 'show offer' crocs. shoes at £29 were also slightly cheaper on-line. Caveat Emptor as they say.
