Caravan paint protection applications

Nearly 6 years ago when buying my last new car I spent about £300 on a paint protection scheme.  It was really good and every time the car is cleaned it comes up like new. Even now after all this time it still looks like new.

So with that in mind I am thinking of having a similar treatment applied to my 18 month old Caravan, but has anyone got any experience of how successful it is on caravans, - value for money etc?

    Never had a car done but have had our new caravan treated by toureshine and so far it seems good.Dirt washes off easily and shine is nice and bright and smooth.Paul at Tourershine comes to you and does it on your drive.Mine cost £300 and took a couple of
    hours to do.The van is an Elldis Xplore at 7.26m long.

    We have been reading numerous reviews on Paintseal and eventually decided to get the caravan done with Paintseal as according to many reviews a quick wash and the caravan looks like new.  At the moment it looks great being nice and shiny.

    Very happy with the paint seal on our Bailey, 2.5 years so far, comes up clean and shiny with a simple wipe off with water with a small amount of a good quality shampoo. I use a wrung out micro fibre cloth. They also did the fabric on our van as part of
    the deal. It certainly paid off when I spilt a cup of coffee on one of the seats. It was easily sponged off and no stain.

    We have just had our 1 year old van treated with Paintseal.  Our previous van was treated and never looked dirty, this was what persuaded us to treat our present van.  As Steve said they also treat the upholstery at the same time.

    We had our new bailey cadiz treated by paintseal iam very please with the result so easey to clean

    Had our last new motorhome treated with Paintseal  it was very easy to clean for the first 18 months then not so, rang and complained,  they came out and reapplied the seal. Again after 18 months or so not so good as it was but we sold the van shortly after
    that so not a problem to us anymore.

    Would I pay £600 to have it again? Defiantly not.

    I see in the CC mag Fenwicks are touting a 'Bobby Dazzler sealing kit'

    A lot cheaper than Paintseal as well, might try it.

    Well, - To continue with my OP, had it done a couple of weeks ago and I must say it looks superb!  Will report back next spring after the ravages of a British winter!

    Had gardx on my last van. Not worth the money in my opinion, friend of mine had paintseal and had to have them out numerous times to sort. 

    On my new van I did enquire at the NEC show with the people on the Paintseal stand only to be told they were only there to support the dealers and did not want to be there. So not very helpful at all so would not touch them with a bargepole. Again just my
    personal experience for what it's worth. 

    Now use showroom shine.

    We looked into having a paintseal coating on the van we purchased in July - but decided to do our own protection. We used 3M Scotchguard on the soft furnishings and carpets - cost approx £20 - and Autoglym super resin polish followed by Autoglym extra gloss
    on the bodywork - again approx £20! Super shiny and water runs off a treat - took a bit of elbow grease to do but the results were worth it - and we saved enough money to pay for a week away!!
