Is our hobby under threat?

I have just started the long drawn out process of selecting a replacement tow car.  I think it will almost certainly have to be second hand.  Not for financial reasons but forced by the fact that the larger and more capable engines seem to be being phased
out by the manufacturers reacting to emission laws.

The 3 Litre egine is getting quite scarse and often the 2.2 is giving over to the 2.0 Litre.  Very often the 4 cylinder engine is being replaced by the 3 cylinder (UGH).

I want at least a V6 3 litre but the choice is no longer easy.  I predict if this goes on much longer we will all be driving 1.4 litre 3 cylinder toy cars. YUK!

So what will become of our hobby?  Will this trend force us into the Motorhome?

So what do you think?  Will it come to that?
