Late Start?

We are just about to extricate our caravan from its storage field. We tend to be a bit late each year because the very greasy clay soil makes movement difficult until it has dried out.

But this year we seem to be in tune with a lot of others because Club sites seem to be opening much later this year.  Is that correct?  And if so is there any reason?
