A couple of awning questions if I may. Is there any particular awning mildew remover i should use for my Kampa awning? Also if it's been raining when you pack up do you have to dry it out? If so how do you do that? Thanks

I no longer use an awning but have done in the past. If on tour and I had to pack a wet awning I was happy to leave it packed wet for 2 or 3 days but not much longer. If at home I would either spread in the garage or on outside tables on a patio. I have
    a covered patio which helped.

Thanks Easy T. I don't have the pleasure of a covered patio! Did you ever get the start of mildew and if so what did you use to get rid of it?

If you get mildew in an awning it is nearly impossible to remove and can look unsightly.

Never had the problem but I suspect that surfer is right in that it is difficult to remove.

A suggestion here: http://www.wikihow.com/Remove-Mildew-from-Canvas-Awnings I would test on a inconspicuous peice. For soap I would use lux or similar - not a detergent.
