I was really pleased to find that Canicross had been given a write up in this months magazine, but, on further inspection, my joy quickly turned to disapointment.

Firstly, the sport is Canicross, not CaniX.

CaniX is an organisation which you can subscribe to as a member for a joining fee.The Cooks make a living out of this, & it is not, as the article suggests the sport itself.

Secondly, it is not a new sport-I have been cross country running with my dogs as a canicrosser for over 6 years.

Many people coming into the sport seem to be under the impression that CaniX (the company) have sole rights to the name canicross, but that is not the case, there are quite a few smaller groups around the country & many more in Eurupe where it is immensely popular.

I am not knocking CaniX for what they do-they lay on good, well organised races all over the country, but I feel the article was misrepresented  & read more like a paid article for an organization rather than a piece on a sport that can be done as simply as a lone runner with a dog, through to joining other canicrossers as a group or entering races.

Come on CC, do your research before printing such articles in the future!
