Annoying motor mover cable problem
I have a new Powertouch mover (1year old) with lovely metal fluted rollers. The problem is as follows:-
I have two batteries, one with the terminals above the top surface of the battery body and the other, a new Banner battery with the posts below the level of the top of the battery.
My mover has cables that are so thick and long that it is almost like wrestling with an octopus when trying to put the cables and the battery into the battery box of my Lunar Quasar 524 (2010) model. Apparently cables as thick as this are necessary because of the current that passes through them???? I previously owned a caravan with a Reich mover and the Cables were thin, nothing like this mover. My dealer informs me that in order to comply with the 5year warranty the cables must be kept to a specific length and cannot be cut or changed for thinner more manageable cables.
Am I the only person in the country who has a problem pushing my battery and these thick cables into ithe battery box on my caravan, surely not!!!????
The batteries are of different heights but they do fit my box its the cables that cause the problem, its even worse when ithe weather is cold.
Does anyone have a solution apart from junking this expensive mover?
