Members with a VAG 2Ltr vag Engine, Audi A4  and Passat . Be aware of a possible oil pump problem with this engine. Google VAG oil pump problem. I have just had a repair done to my 2007 Passat TDi due to wear on the hex drive bar on the oil pump. I was advised
by my garage that  there is a possibility that wear to this bar can cause oil pump failure. My garage has seen several instances of this problem which requires sump removal to assess the problem, if any?
