BMW e90 330d m-sport

we have just bought  a 2007 abbey gts 418 caravan and at the minute are towing with my partners 60 plate mondeo 1.8 tdci Which is close to its limit i think, I have a 2006 BMW e90 330d m-sport and was wondering if anyone had used one of these to tow with
before ? It doesn't have a towbar fitted so was wondering if it would be ok to tow our caravan with other wise I will look to trade in for something like  a BMW x3 2.0d
