was just wondering if you can charge an electric car from point on pitch, saw this on a site recently they must have had some sort of adapter, cable coming out of window to car.  I just didn't understand this as we are encouraged to use low voltage appliances!!

There is another thread running about it and I think consensus is "there is no real answer"

Hi jeben , yes you can charge on-site. No adapter needed as it is a domestic 3 pin plug on the other end of the cable from the car, so it plugs into any socket in the van, or external.

The Club have said to me that I am not allowed to charge on-site, so I don't do it. However commercial sites have all been happy for me to charge this way.

Minimum requirement is 10amps, I do it overnight when only the fridge is on in the van. Takes about 5 hours from completely flat.

    Cheers, Alex.
