We were looking at a Bailey Unicorn 3 today. Noticed the  external gas BBQ point is located half way down the offside of the van. Therefore to use a BBQ on the door side you would either have to get the hose underneath or have a very long hose trailing round. We have had two caravans, the second a Unicorn 2,  both have had the BBQ point situated on the door side towards the front, enabling the BBQ to be used outside the end of an awning or closer to the door if one is not used. Is the  reason for the new position safety in that it makes it difficult to use one in the awning, where they should not be used? Or cost saving, as gas bottles, cooker and heater are all close to the new location?
