Charitable donations at the door

It is interesting to read all the responses. We all seem to be of one mind, we would not give bank details to anyone at the door, however deserving their cause, or how honest they appear. However, as they keep on asking, not only on the doorstep but in the supermarkets, they must get enough takers. Frightening really, that folk will give up this sort of information to a complete stranger, but as TTDA says they often prey on the vulnerable. Thankyou for your replies.
