We booked a week at Longleat for July some time ago. On checking the site details, I now find it says, that new for the 2015 season access to Longleat Park is by ticket only. As we have not been to Longleat for many years we will be buying a ticket
so we can visit the safari park and discounted tickets are available. However, we like to walk from the caravan and the cheapest ticket of about £15 each, which would allow access to the grounds makes for a rather expensive walk. Looking at my OS map for the
area, the number of right of ways that would be accessible without going through the charged area is very limited, although numerous other tracks are shown. Does anybody know what walking is available from the site without going into Longleat.

It seems a strange decision on the part of Longleat as previously members would have purchased food from the park outlets, which now they cannot do without a ticket. I would think it would also impact on the club as if you visit regularly, you are not
going to want to visit the attractions every time and now it is impossible to go for a walk into the park without a ticket. Perhaps why there is almost 100 spaces for this weekend.
