Been away twice this year and at both sites there were issues with the electrical supply.  On both occasions it was linked to individuals overloading the EHU.

Although electricity is included in the site fee I expect the annual bill is quite high.  I would like to know what percentage of the site fee covers electricity.

If we as users continue to use electricity as we do the site fees are going to rise significantly.

When away my wife and I use electricity as we do when at home, this is to save money.

Too many times I have spoken to other members and had the standard reply we have paid for it so we will use it.  What is wrong with using gas, we try to get away 10 times per year, we use a 3.9kg propane £15.50 (purchased a refill yesterday).  Although we
have two bottles we find that 1 will last more than a season, so less than £1.55/trip.  We use the gas to heat the van, cook including boiling the kettle and for the shower, good lady always uses the shower in the van.

Electric Heater 2KW (9A), small kettle 2KW (9A), medium kettle 3KW (13A) so if you have your heating on and put a kettle on there is a good chance that with the other smaller power items such as TV or Lap Top then you will be near the max of 16A, this is
before you add in the electric ring that some vans have.

We all need to start being smarter with our use of electric hook up.
