Alko stabaliser

just bought a used caravan which has alko stabaliser, never used one before, when we were driving home from shop terrible cranking noise coming from caravan when we were going round roundabouts and corners , no problem driving straight. have read this could
be dirt from old tow ball. do we need alko tow ball. any help please
