Children sleeping in awnings hardstanding pitches

We are after a bit of advice we have a 2 berth caravan and our children sleep in the inner tent within the awning. we have noticed that some pitches are hardstanding and wondered if anyone else was in a similiar position and found a way round of making the
area more comfatable for the children to sleep on. we do have a breathable groundsheet but this wont help in this situation
