50mph on single carriageways

50mph on single carriageways.

What's the thoughts on this being put up to 60mph ?      

We hear a lot about people complaining that we caravaners cause a lot of tailbacks, but we are only keeping to the law. It's not always possible to pull in and let the traffic pass. Some lay-bys are not signposted and unless you stand on the brakes you miss the chance to pull in. Surely with the modern car and caravan we should be allowed to drive at 60mph where safe to do so. This would at least lessen the frustration that some drivers are prone to. What do you think?
