external screw damage

My husband has screwed 2 replacement screws inside the front locker, that were missing. Unfortunately, he has made  a tiny hole through to the external front side wall and I'm concerned about it causing possible damp in the future. Can anyone suggest how
to block the hole, which is very very tiny, its a 2008 van (?grp). I wondered about a tiny spot of silicone ?
