Refrigerator fumes

Hi, can anyone help?  There is a very strong smell of burnt gas fumes from the exhaust chimney on the Dometic large fridge freezer in my 7 year old Rapido 7086F. I have had the gas burner igniter unit replaced By  my local motorhome garage and they say the
exhaust chimney is clear. It has been suggested that the refrigerator seals may be allowing the fumes in the van. The fumes are also evident from the outside top vent.
