Bradcot air awning pump

the leads supplied on above awning pump are a wee bit on the short size. Few thoughts on this, one is to solder and extend the leads as battery is the other side of the van,connect leads to car and power the pump of the car battery or connect to the 240v
external supply a dropper to reduce 240v down to 12v. The last one seems my prefered method. Has anyone used this method?. Any thoughts are welcome
