Now that the new improved pitching regime has been brought in after nothing more than a quick "this is now the only way" briefing.

What thought has been given to the effect it will have on those grass pitches where previously the wardens had the freedom to reposition the peg to enable the grass to recover where either a caravan or awning had been located?

With the new rigid rule regarding safety clearances, the old method of repositiong the pitch markers cannot really continue.  This means that the caravan will always be situated in the same position which will result in the grass beneath that same area suffering in the longer term.  On those pitches which remain capable of allowing an awning to be erected, then the effect of excessive shading and associated foot traffic within that area will also most likely have a detrimental effect on the grass.

I wonder how the sites will be looking at the end of the main summer holiday period?

Just a thought
