Logging in time

edited May 2016 in How to use Club Together #1

Has anyone else noticed that since the few days of shut down last week of the CC website that the time taken to log in has trebled. I seemed to be waiting for ages to be able to access the sign in page. When I did it took an eternity to reach club together.
I contacted my friends and asked them if they had the same issue and their response was the same. What is happening  to the IT  side of the CC ?.I have come to the decision that it is not worth trying to  look at Club Together as the time it takes to log in
and then the insults from sarcastic members it is all too much....SG2

I would agree that it is taking far too long to do anything on the CC web site. Whatever they did to make CT more stable has not helped to enhance the user experience!

Why not leave the discussion page open when signing out? I don't generally have to wait too long, depending on where I am trying to register.

Just tried it and found response times a lot slower than they were. My broadband speed before this comment was 32MBPS. Have not seen the site so slow before.

we have the4 fastest avaiable cable broadband through virgin media, and while very other site pops up with speed the log in time for Ct is about 30 seconds or more now

I am using site WiFi, in Austria, and it hangs when trying to log in, The WiFi is not that good which might partly explain it but other things are working much quicker.

I am accessing the site from home with fibre optic broadband, and response time is dreadful. It takes at least 45 seconds for each new page to appear, compared with 1-2 seconds max. For ANY other website. It's been like that for several days.before that the discussion area was down altogether.

Why is there no explanation about it from the Club's IT bods, at least none that I can see anyway?

Might be something to do with the time of day? Last night I just gave up, this morning I logged in without any noticeable delay - maybe the club system just gets tired at the end of a long hard day! Wink

Actually, I'm thinking it may be the bloke who winds up the elastic band who gets tired! Laughing

Oh I thought it was just me!! Last night was dreadful so I gave up in the end.  This morning seems much quicker. Perhaps as it was the bank holiday there weren't enough people in work to wind up the elastic bandLaughing

The site search is pathetically slow. It's like going back to the days of dial-up internet.

It does seem to vary. However, as we are on site wifi at the moment, I put the variations down to this. I will have to wait until we get home to evaluate it properly.

I only use a tablet or phone at home and haven't had any problems signing in , or viewing content . I know there is another thread about the site being down and people are not happy , but these things happen . Large sites like Facebook or similar sites spend
a lot of money on running their site . Oh I haven't got the super duper broadband
