Driving licence

Can someone please advise me as to driving licence requirements. I passed my test in 1962 and have renewed at age 70 and am approaching my next renewal. I have a motorhome that is rated at a Max Technical Permissable laden Mass of 3100kg. Do I need a C1
endorsement on my licence for this vehicle. If I do ,I have been driving illegally for the last five years! The V5c has no entry for either Revenue Weight or Max. Permissible weight.I ask this because I seem to remember  comments  about  some categories being
omitted on renewal. Any advise gratefully received!
