Switching to car electics when towing.
I have a Swift 540 caravan, 2008 model. When towing, the 'car battery' button on the control panel has to be pressed before setting off, to ensure there is power to the fridge during the journey. Trouble is that every time I make a stop and switch off the engine the car electrics disengage. Before driving off again after the stop I have to remember to go into the caravan and press the 'car battery' button again (when the car engine is running). Is there some setting whereby I can set the control to remain on 'car battery' throughout the entire journey? I seem to remember being told that the car battery disengages so as not to drain down the battery during a 'stop period'. Makes sense, but it would be nice if the car electrics would re-engage when the car engine starts up !! Grateful for any assistance. Malcolm T
