After many weeks  of looking at various inflatable awnings we finally decided that the awning for us was the new Outdoor revolution 340 compact lite air.

This awning offered a great specification including intelligent beam technology, fantastic design and a new modern look.

Unfortunately for us, our first outing was our annual 2 week holiday to Cornwall, after arriving on site we unpacked the awning and had it fitted in no time at all, theres no doubting this awning looks fantastic.

We noticed early on that both outsides air beams appeared quite badly bent, this we discovered was  due to the bottom of the air beam leg being velcrod even to the ground sheet, the bend was improved by simply refitting the leg to the ground sheet but
not entirely eliminated.

After only 1 hr we noticed that 1 of the 2 support beams provided was losing air, I re inflated it but to no avail it went down again.

We decided that this should not overly affect the structural performance of the awning as the weather forecast was very mild with little wind forecast, we took the precaution to attach the storm straps to keep the awning tensioned.

On the morning of day 2 the awning disappointment continued, on opening our caravan door we notice beam 1 looking a little limp, it had not totally deflated but it had lost 4lb of pressure. I took the decision to re inflate all 3 beams to the recommended
psi, I double checked that all the valves were clean and closed correctly, fingers crossed it was operator  error and this should fix it.

The final disappointment came on the morning of day 3, after a much cooler night I opened the caravan door to pole 1 and support beam totally deflated and pole 2 partially deflated.

This was the final straw, we had lost all confidence in what appeared to be a great awning.

Unfortunately, the manufacturers of this awning do not take correspondence from the the customer, they simply refer you to your supplier.

At this point our supplier has been very good with us and when we get back from our holidays it will be packed up and returned to await there verdict.

It would be interesting to see if anyone has had a similar problem?

We now have to spend the next 10 days of our holiday awning less. Which is a pain and not Ideal. You wait all year to have your 2 weeks of r and r, only ours has been tainted :(
