Awning cover damage

tore the cover off my awning area whilst travelling france,i was un-aware when so did not recover the lost part. the awning has not been damaged,it is just a cover.i have been told by manufacture and dealers that it is irreplacable,i also contacted a fibreglass
manufacture company and to replace would be very expensive. any ideas would be welcome.
