I suppose we are all ready to criticise when something goes wrong, but I would like to share my experience of oustanding customer service from Kampa UK Ltd.

When we bought our new Bailey Barcelona in December, last year, we also bougtht an ex-demo Kampa Air Pro 390 awning - from Yorkshire Caravans at Bawtry.

All went well with the awning for the first two or three times we used it and we were highly delighted with it.  However, at the start of our two-week holiday in Devon at the beginning of June, despite our best endeavours, we couldn't get it to inflate properly
and when we did think it was up, we sat there in the sunshine and watched it deflate around our ears!

A phone call to Yorkshire Caravans the following morning - and a check that we had done everything we should have done - resulted in a phone call from the North of England Kampa Rep a few minutes later.  Again we eliminated all possible explanations and
he was as baffled as I was as to what had happened.

However - he was most sympathetic of our plight - especially at the start of the holiday - and between him and Andy at YC - agreed to give us a full refund on the faulty awning - for me to buy a new one over the phone and for it to be shipped out by courier,
that night.  Within less than 24 hours, the new awning arrived at our camp site and was up in a matter of minutes and performed without fault for the remainder of the holiday.

No arguments - no attempt to find a 'get-out' clause - just a swift and positive response to our quandry and done with the intention of ensuring the customer was totally satisfied.  Products do have faults from time to time and so often we hear of dissatisfied
customers fighting to get even their basic rights.  What an example of excellence Kampa and Y. Caravans between them turned out to be.

Well done to Kampa and Yorkshire Caravans and thank you for 'rescuing' our holiday!!
