Lock spring Nuevo

I have Auto sleeper Nuevo 2008 model. The spring which operates the bottom door lock has broken.  I have bodged the spring to get the lock to work.

AS and Marquis tell me they can't get the spring only a complete new lock!!

Any ideas?
