Changes and Improvements

Firstly a big thank you to everyone for your patience and understanding. As you know we have been continuingly making improvements and fixes on Club Together and the June release (out today) brings further changes to help you enjoy your experience on Club Together.

We have introduced some new features, which will hopefully help make Club Together more user-friendly. We have also looked at getting some permanent fixes in place to prevent the ‘service unavailable’ error message that some of you have experienced. Hopefully these will not occur anymore.

What’s New?

You can now edit your posts. There is a 10 minute period which will allow you to read back and correct any errors you have made on your post. You will find the Edit tool on the right hand side of your post (next to Quote and Report).

You can now add emoticons (smiley faces). Happy It is often easy to misinterpret people’s comments as you cannot hear the tone of their voice or see the expression on their face. You can use the emoticons to help you communicate how you’re feeling.

You can now ‘Follow a discussion’. Click the Follow a Discussion link on the right hand side at the top of the discussion. You will then receive email alerts every time anyone else comments on the discussion. If you no longer want to receive the email alerts just click ‘Stop following this discussion’, again on the right hand side at the top of the relevant discussion.

Mark as read on discussions has now changed. With the new release we have had to set all discussions to show as being read. We will then start recording ‘reads’ in a new simplified way. Previously we recorded each single post as being read as people page through the discussion (so you could read 5 pages of posts and still have ‘x new posts’ displaying on the discussion). Now whenever you open a discussion, we instantly mark all the posts in that discussion as ‘read’.

And Finally...

Thank you to our developers for all their hard work and also thank you to the people using Club Together for your feedback and suggestions.

We hope that you enjoy the new features. Please be aware there are more improvements in the pipeline which will be coming in future releases, such as the search facility within the discussion area.

We have included some new FAQs around the new features. Please see here if you would like to learn more: FAQs
