 Is it just because it's the season of giving? Every ad break seems to have an appeal for something or someone. I do give to charity regularly, but not on line or telephone. I'm told they share your details if given.

   Today we saw three consecutive appeals in one ad break. One asserted that 1,400 children die
every day as a result of drinking contaminated water, that's
half a million a year
, can this be true?  I find it difficult to believe, although two different charity appeals use the same figures.
